Scott Named Sigma Chi National Advisor of the Year

April 30, 2019

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University Student Development Office Program Director Tracy Scott was presented with the Sigma Chi International Fraternity Stegemeier Faculty Advisor Award recently.

The award pays tribute to the fraternity's most outstanding faculty advisor nationwide.

Scott joined Sigma Chi initially in 1985 during his undergraduate studies in Idaho. He has served as the faculty advisor for the Sigma Chi Iota Omicron Chapter at WIU for many years.

"I am deeply honored and humbled by the award and would like to thank Sigma Chi International Fraternity, and the brothers of Iota Omicron, for this very special recognition," said Scott. "Knowing that the guys thought enough of me to even nominate me is an award in its self."

Scott first became involved with the chapter as a graduate student, where he served as a scholarship advisor. He later served as the chapter advisor, and more recently as faculty advisor.

Scott was nominated for the award by WIU chapter President Lane Martells, along with the brothers of Iota Omicron, and the chapter's Grand Praetor.
